Pastoral Programme

We believe that the Sixth Form is about more than just academic studies and therefore you will be supported by a personal tutor in many different ways.  These are outlined below.

As part of your time in Sixth Form, you will be expected to attend registration every morning at 8:30am.

This is an important time for you to have access to information relating to the running of the Sixth Form,  your future beyond the Sixth Form and life beyond the Sixth Form such as external speakers in assemblies. It will also provide a set period of silent reading to gain the wider knowledge required in both jobs and University.

As well as these things, tutor time provides two main opportunities which we feel are vital to the success of Sixth Form.  The first is allowing you and your peers to get to know each other through tasks and challenges which help to build community and create a Sixth Form identity.

Secondly, it gives your tutors the chance to spend some 1 to 1 time with you looking at reports, grades, future plans as well as simply allowing them to get to know you better and support you through any difficulties that you may come across.

Tutor time is an important part of the day, and therefore, if you are not attending or consistently late, we will deal with this appropriately.

Below is the outline of what you can expect each day:
